Here at zest we have worked really hard to ensure that we are following government guidance and have the highest hygiene standards at all times.
The salon has been deep cleaned throughout! all of the décor has been washed down, touched up and our staff room area, where we also make your refreshments and mix up your magic colours has been totally revamped, including new flooring! hairdressing stations are at least 1.5 meters apart, with protective screens in-between each one and our waiting area can now only accommodate one person.
in line with the ever changing guidance, all of our staff will be wearing visors and masks when working closely with you! and it is now compulsory (unless you are medically exempt) that clients wear a mask at all times.
when arriving for your appointment you can expect to have your temperature taken with a contactless thermometer and asked to use the hand sanitiser as you come through the door. Your hairdresser also has their temperature taken when they arrive and will be regularly sanitising and washing their hands.
you can also expect freshly laundered or disposable gowns and towels to be used.
whilst gloves are not a government guideline, due to the nature of our work, these are worn a lot of the time anyway and we have plenty in stock!!
we each have our own trolley and electrical equipment that will be sanitised after each use and our brushes combs and scissors will all be sprayed and disinfected between each use with professional products.
we do have toilet facilities that you can use and in there you will find plenty of antibacterial wipes aswell as the loo being regularly cleaned throughout the day by us.
we do ask that where possible you come to your appointment alone and for now we are suspending offering haircuts for children under 16. obviously if you, anyone in your household, or anyone you have been in close contact with is feeling unwell or displaying symptoms please let us know and we can rearrange your appointment.
finally, we hope you don't mind but we have added an extra £2 onto our totals to cover the costs of additional ppe.
